About the A Paper Sizes to Pixels conversion

The ISO 216 A series is the international standard for paper, from the large A0 (841 × 1189mm) down to A10. Each size is exactly half the previous one, so A4 is half of A3, and the aspect ratio stays constant at √2.

To get pixel dimensions, each side (defined in millimetres) is converted through inches at your chosen DPI: px = (mm / 25.4) × DPI. At the 96 DPI screen reference, A4 (210 × 297mm) becomes 794 × 1123px. For print, switch to 300 DPI to get 2480 × 3508px.

Pick a size and a resolution to get its exact width and height in pixels, and see the full A-series table update alongside — handy for setting up canvases, print templates, and export dimensions.

A Paper Sizes to Pixels FAQs

A4 is 210 × 297mm. At the 96 DPI screen reference that is 794 × 1123px; at 300 DPI (print) it is 2480 × 3508px. Set the DPI field to your target resolution.
Each dimension in millimetres is divided by 25.4 to get inches, then multiplied by the DPI. So px = (mm / 25.4) × DPI for both width and height.
Use 300 DPI for high-quality print. 96 DPI matches on-screen CSS pixels. Choose the resolution that matches your output device.
The ISO 216 standard defines each size as half the area of the one before, achieved by halving the longer side. This keeps the √2 aspect ratio constant so scaling between sizes is distortion-free.
